► Although Bad Oeynhausen is only 180 years old, it has a rich and varied history. The history of settlement in the city area is much older, dating back well into the Stone Age. The deep roots of the city’s neighborhoods in Westphalian culture, the region’s rich history, and the splendor and glory of the former Prussian state spa are ever-present and can be felt and experienced throughout the city.
